Description: A passive system was constructed in 2008 to address the BC16 discharge emanating from what appears to be an old, abandoned, compromised oil well. The AMD is likely being "captured" by the compromised well which provides a conduit to the surface. The system consists of a settling pond, wetland, and horizontal flow limestone bed. In May 2022, a sludge pond was built up the hill to the northeast of the system through funding obtained through the EPA 319 program to assist with maintaining the several passive treatment systems that are located nearby.
