Description: The Big Run #3 treatment system is part of a large passive treatment complex. Effluent from the Big Run #7 (http://www2.datashed.org/big-run-7/) and Big Run #8 (http://www2.datashed.org/big-run-8/) passive treatment systems along with the Big Run #7.5 (AKA #7A) discharge are combined and further treated by the Big Run #3 system. The Big Run #7A discharge cannot be sampled as it is collected underground and then piped into the same pipe as the Big Run #8 effluent. The 3A system consists of a "Sweedish" lime dosing silo followed by a settling pond and wetland.
