Description: The MRSGL98 Discharges in the Morgan Run watershed, Clearfield County, are numerous and diffuse toe of slope discharges emanating from a surface mine operated in the early 1990's. These discharges have been collected into ditches so that they could be monitored more efficiently and be directed to areas where future treatment will be easier to construct. Once collected and monitored, Hedin Environmental and the Clearfield County Conservation District developed passive treatment designs for a Growing Greener grant in 2024. Because these discharges are so diffuse, they are being treated as a North Seep Area and South Seep Area, this Datashed Project is for the MRSGL98 North Seep Area which will consist of a Drainable Limestone Bed, Vertical Flow Pond, several Manganese Beds, a Flush Pond, Settling Pond, and Wetland Channels.
